About SVG and PNG
SVG is a vector format: instead of pixels, it stores shapes, lines and text as instructions, so a logo or icon stays crisp at any size. That is great for websites and design tools, but many places only accept a regular picture. Slide decks, marketplaces, email signatures, social profiles and most messengers want a PNG or JPG.
This converter draws your SVG into a PNG at the size you pick. Original size uses the width and height written in the file, or its viewBox if the file has none. 2× and 4× give you a larger, sharper image, which is what you want for retina screens or print. PNG keeps transparency, so a logo without a background stays without one.
Everything happens on your device, and the converter never loads anything from the internet. If an SVG links to web fonts or outside images, they are left out, and text falls back to the fonts your system has. To keep the exact look, convert text to outlines in your design tool before exporting.
Animated SVGs become a still image of the first frame. Very large sizes are scaled down to what your browser can draw, which is smaller on phones than on computers.
Questions and answers
Is it safe?
Yes. Conversion happens in your browser, and your files are never uploaded.
What size will the PNG be?
Original size uses the width and height set in the SVG, or its viewBox if they are missing. 2× and 4× multiply that size, which keeps logos sharp on retina screens and in print.
Is the background kept transparent?
Yes. Areas the SVG does not paint stay transparent in the PNG.
Why do some fonts or images look different?
For your privacy, the converter does not load anything from the internet. Web fonts and images that the SVG links to are skipped, and system fonts are used instead. Convert text to paths in your editor to keep the exact look.
What happens to animated SVG?
The PNG shows the first frame of the animation.
