Merge PDF
Free, no upload — files never leave your device
How to use Merge PDF
- Drop your PDF files here
- Put the files in the order you want
- Download the merged PDF
Combine PDF files into one
Upload forms and email often take a single file: a loan application with bank statements, a visa packet with scans, a report put together from several chapters. This tool joins your PDF files into one document, file after file, right in your browser.
Your files stay on your device. The page reads and merges the PDFs locally, so statements, contracts and medical records never pass through a server.
Put the files in order
The list shows the files in the order you added them, with the first page and the page count of each, so two files both called scan.pdf are easy to tell apart. Move a file up or down with the arrows next to it, and remove one with the cross. The merged PDF follows the list from top to bottom.
The result takes the name of the first file with -merged added, so statement-may.pdf becomes statement-may-merged.pdf.
What stays and what goes
The tool copies the pages as they are. It does not render them as pictures or compress them again, so the text stays selectable and searchable, and scans keep their resolution. Web links on the pages keep working.
Bookmarks and fillable form fields belong to the original files rather than to their pages, and they do not carry over. If you need a form to stay fillable, fill it in and save it first, then merge.
Locked PDFs
Banks and online stores often send PDFs that open without a password but block printing or editing. Those merge as usual, and the merged file has no such restrictions. A PDF that asks for a password before it opens cannot be merged until you remove the password.
Large files
A computer handles files of a few hundred megabytes. Phones have less memory, so the tool tells you when a batch is too large for your device instead of letting the page crash. Merge in two rounds if that happens.
Questions and answers
Is it safe?
Yes. The PDF is put together in your browser, and your files are never uploaded.
Can I change the order?
Yes. Use the up and down arrows next to each file. The merged PDF follows the order of the list.
Does merging lower the quality?
No. The pages are copied as they are. Text stays selectable and images keep their resolution.
Can I merge a password-protected PDF?
A PDF that only blocks printing or copying merges as usual. A PDF that asks for a password to open has to be unlocked first.
What does not carry over?
Bookmarks and fillable form fields from the original files. The pages, text, images and web links stay.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, in Chrome, Safari and other modern browsers. Very large files may be too much for older phones.
