About HEIC and JPG

HEIC is the default photo format on iPhones since iOS 11. It keeps photos at a smaller file size with the same quality, but many programs and websites still expect JPG. Windows, older Android apps, and many upload forms reject HEIC files.

This converter turns your HEIC photos into JPG files that open everywhere. Drop one photo or a whole batch, wait a moment, and download the result. Each photo is converted on your device, so the original files are never sent to a server.

The converter re-encodes each photo as a new JPG, so the date and location stored in the original file are not copied over. If you need that data, keep the HEIC file as well.

JPG is a lossy format, so the output is slightly smaller in quality than the original HEIC. For most photos the difference is hard to see. For editing or printing at large sizes, keep the original.

Questions and answers

Is it safe?

Yes. Conversion happens in your browser, and your files are never uploaded.

Does it work on iPhone?

Yes, in Safari and Chrome. Large batches may be slow on older phones.

Can I convert in bulk?

Yes. Add several files at once and download them one by one or as a ZIP.

Why will my HEIC not open on Windows?

Windows has no HEIC decoder by default. JPG opens everywhere.
